Frequently Asked Questions - Redundancy Counselling and Outplacement

What is it?

Redundancy Counselling and Outplacement is the process of helping those who have been made redundant and need some help and guidance with their next steps. Redundancy can be stressful and this is an opportunity to share your feelings and to start to think about what is next for you. Diana has worked with many individuals to assist in their transition from one role to another.

How does it work?

The type of support will depend on what you are looking for from Redundancy Counselling and Outplacement. For some people they want to take the opportunity of redundancy to review their career and possibly change direction, whereas for others it might be that you are looking for support in changing from one similar role to another so the support required is more about creating a CV, interview training and accessing the job market.

I can work on a one to one basis or when there are many redundancies in an organisation, workshops are an effective way of working on issues such as creating effective CVs or finding a job. For larger projects, I work with personally selected associates.

What does it cost?

If you are an individual and have been made redundant, you may have the opportunity to get some support from your organisation for redundancy counselling. It’s worth asking! Costs will depend on whether you are reviewing your career and looking for a new direction or whether you know what you want to do but are needing some help with finding that job.

If you are an organization with several people who are being made redundant, please contact me as costs will depend on the type of support you are looking for, for your people.
